“October 2018, I fly from Paris to Montreal, invited to take part in the Thierry Forbois' Way of Wine Ritual.

At 77 years old, nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to experience on this evening. Throughout my life as a wine collector and enthusiast, I have had the joy of tasting some of the finest nectars on earth, but I could never have imagined that drinking a glass of wine could become a sensual, aesthetic and spiritual experience of such depth, dare I say mystical…, it’s a wine experience that changes what you thought you knew about life.

You truly have to live this moment to understand the nature of the intense emotions it awakens in you and the feeling of serenity and renewal it brings, which stays with you long afterwards.

Today, thinking back, I realize that I had the rare chance to witness the birth of a new art, and if no one can predict if this art will outlive its creator, I am grateful to have lived this moment in my lifetime, to be able to say today that I was part of it.”
